Suffolk County and the Town of Southampton are updating the County Hazard Mitigation Plan and our local, Town portion of the plan. Community input matters in the update to the plan. This plan helps to identify hazards and to develop strategies and projects that may reduce the impacts and threats associated with identified hazards. Participating in this process and updating the plan will also ensure that the Town remains eligible for State and Federal mitigation funding to support different projects. All residents and business owners are encouraged to take a few minutes and participate in this process by completing the public survey. The deadline for survey submissions is February 20, 2026.
