Good Ground Park is a public park on 36 acres of forestland, which, in 2014, was purchased with Community Preservation Funds. It serves the recreational needs of the Town and its residents, establishes linkages to the village business district, enhances the quality of life, and reinforces the image and identity of the Hampton Bays Community. The central feature of the park is an amphitheater, which was carved into a natural bowl within the woodlands and hosts community events such as concerts, children's performances, and theater. The park also includes a nature-inspired playground, park green space, nature trails with overlooks, and a comfort station. We also partner with the South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) for seasonal guided bird walks.
