What is a feral cat?

Feral cats are the offspring of domestic cats that have not been socialized. Animal Control does not pick up feral cats and the shelter does not accept them. The Southampton Animal Shelter offers support to residents of the Town through their AdvoCat Program which includes trapping, spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations and releasing .
