My taxes are too high/I pay more than my neighbors/Is there something I can do?
Yes. Your home may be assessed at a higher value than it is worth. Lowering this amount is possible by filing a grievance. You may also be eligible for certain property tax exemptions based on whether you are a permanent residence in the Town, a senior citizen, disabled, a volunteer, or veteran. For more information, please call the Assessor’s Office at 631-283-6020 or visit the Assessor’s Home Page.
