Domestic Violence Victims Advocates provide crisis intervention counseling, help petition for orders of protection, and accompany victims to court. Advocates act as liaisons between the victim and the criminal justice system and help individuals understand basic legal proceedings. Referrals are made to appropriate agencies for additional needs. The Town’s Domestic Violence Advocates are located in the court offices on Jackson Avenue in Hampton Bays.
